Okinawa used to be known as the “island of longevity,” and food is attracting attention from various aspects such as cultural history, nutrition science, and tourism. However, even when attention was paid to the food itself, surprisingly, it seems that there were not many opportunities to talk about it together with the creator. At the Japan Oral History Association (JOHA) research practice exchange meeting, people who have listened to and written about food along with the experiences of creators from the 1970s to the present will be asked to report on the practice of interviewing. Think about the reasons and methods for working on food writing, and changes in society and culture that can be seen from listening and writing.
