The “100 Year Kuruchi Forest Project” is a project run by volunteers who agree with artist Kazufumi Miyazawa's desire to “fill Okinawa 100 years from now with Kuruchi (Kuroki, the raw material for sanshin poles) forest.” Once a year, a tree planting festival and a music festival are held. At the venue, there is a market where food and drink sales and product sales are carried out, and Sanshin (Three-string guitar) exhibition/sales/experience workshops by the Sanshin (Three-string guitar) Association.
