Profile

Born in 1987. He grew up in Osato Oshiro, Nanjo City, where traditional performing arts such as A tug of war, Eisa folk dance, and group dance flourished, and began Sanshin (Three-string guitar) under the influence of his father, who played Eisa's local songs. In 2002, I entered the Okinawa Prefectural Haebaru High School Local Culture Course and learned the fun of traditional performing arts. In 2005, she entered the Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts, Faculty of Music, Department of Music, Ryukyu Performing Arts, Ryukyuan classical music Course, and after graduation, she went on to the Ryukyuan classical music Course, performing arts major at the same graduate school, while also learning traditional performing arts at the National Theatre Okinawa Phase 2 Group Dance Program. In 2011, I taught students for 4 years as a teacher in the Okinawa Prefectural Haebaru High School Local Culture Course (local music), which is my alma mater.

Currently, while conducting research at the Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts Graduate School of Arts and Culture, Department of Arts and Culture, they perform classical Ryukyu music and folk songs of troupe dance and Ryukyu dance at theaters inside and outside the prefecture, mainly at the National Theatre Okinawa. Also, while writing and composing his own lyrics and presenting many works, he is also performing in a wide range of activities, such as participating in the Shimauta (Okinawan music) group “South Wind Nubaiwa,” which was formed during Haebaru High School.
