Profile
Born in Kofu, Yamanashi Prefecture in 1966. Debuted as a vocalist of THE BOOM in 1989. “Shimauta (Okinawan music)” announced in 1992 was a big hit. After the dissolution of THE BOOM at the end of 2014, he worked as a solo artist. He has a deep relationship with Okinawa. In addition to managing a cafe “Miyanchi” in Okinawa City, he is also actively engaged in Archived video Okinawan folk songs and the preservation activities of Kurchi as a material for Sanshin.
