“Rikkarikka Festa” is an international performing arts festival for families that has been held in Okinawa every year since 2005. A selection of works will be performed by artists gathered from Okinawa, all over Japan, and outside of Japan under the motto of “works that can be enjoyed by adults from age 0” under the theme of “theater is life medicine (nuchigusui).”
“Tamatsu no Koi” is a stage work that emphasizes both classical techniques and contemporary expressions, and is boldly arranged, based on the masterpiece “The Edge of Hand Water,” a traditional Okinawan performing arts and group dance. Japanese dialogue (with subtitles).
