Before Okinawa returned to the mainland, the Ryukyu government designated the kumiodori “Tamaki Asakunsaku No. 5” as an important intangible cultural property.
Kumiodori, which was designated as an Important Intangible Cultural Property of the country at the same time as the return to the mainland in 1972, will mark the 50th anniversary of its designation To commemorate this, the “castle stage” installed in the Oniwa of Shuri Castle during the Ryukyu Kingdom period will be reproduced in the Kumiodori Park next to the theater, and Asakoru No. 5, karakuri fireworks, and Iriko Kyu performed on the Oniwa stage will be performed.

Part 1 Kumiodori “Jushin Kane Iri”
A beautiful boy named Nakagusuku Wakamatsu asks for an overnight stay at a house on his way to Shuri Wangfu for service. The woman at the inn refuses because her parents are away, but when she learns that the man is Wakamatsu, she completely changes her attitude and rents the inn. The woman asks Wakamatsu, but Wakamatsu refuses. Wakamatsu becomes unbearable, and rushes to the temple of Sueyoshi to ask for salvation. The woman desperately chases Wakamatsu and comes to the temple. However, since Wakamatsu cannot be found, she finally transforms into a demon.

Part 2 Kumiodori “Onna Mono Madness”
A thief approaches a child playing with a windmill, lures him out to a secluded place with skillful words, threatens and takes him away. On the way, as the sun goes down, the thief and the child ask the temple to stay overnight, but the child sees the plow where the thief is sleeping and asks the monk of the temple for salvation, and is saved safely. Meanwhile, a mother whose child has gone missing is insane and disturbed, and while wandering around in search of her child, she arrives at a distant temple. From the questions and answers with the madwoman (mother), the monk at the temple thinks it would be nice, and decides to make a match with the child protected by the temple.

Based on the “Spark Diary” recorded by Wangfu in 1866, the “Karakuri Fireworks” performed in the Oniwa of Shuri Castle was restored and performed. It is a fireworks unique to the Ryukyu country that changes its appearance while spewing sparks, and was created with the theme of prosperity of the Ryukyu country, and is a fireworks unparalleled in the world. This time, we will see a trick in which a “four-wheeler” on which a Confucian scholar rides appears from under the roof.
