Born in 1932. Listen to the “Mo-ashibi (A social outdoor gathering for young people) (Ashibi = Utagaki)” of young men and women who finished stray work from a young age, make their own Sanshin and learn songs by self-taught. After the war, he worked in a US military camp and taught American music by black soldiers. After that, he was recognized for his talent and joined the play of Okinawa as a local region. Its arms were further demonstrated from the late 50's to the 60s and laid the foundation for the biggest folk song boom after the war. In 2004, he celebrated Kiki, but he actively performed live in and outside of the prefecture and enjoyed many folk song fans. He passed away on March 19, 2013.

The highest active singer in traditional Okinawan music.
Born in Amagasaki City, Hyogo Prefecture in 1932, grew up in Higashionna, Ishikawa City. He was good at music and entertainment from a boy, and he studied singing and Sanshin by himself while hiding from his parents.
At the age of 16, he joined the Songtroupe, one of the major troupes of the time, as an apprentice of “Jute” (accompaniment & singer), and then trained in popular theaters such as Coral Theatre.
In 1957, he established the Ryukyu Folk Song Association with Morie Obama and Masanaga Kina. In the same year, a 12-year-old boy who was called a god, CHINA Sadao Kina, became a disciple to Noborikawa.
In 1970, he presented “Folk Song Anbushi Dance Acrobatics IV”, a musical score with vocal score = kunkunshi. In the so-called folk song world, this is the first sheet music collection that includes even vocal music.
In 1975, Nobuhito Noborikawa recorded “Chu Chu play” (Victor) by Ro Takenaka, who introduced Okinawa music to the mainland.
In 1998, he became Honorary Chairman of the Ryukyu Folk Song Association.
In 1999, director NAKAE Yuji tried to put the depth and taste of Noborikawa Seihito's Futokoro at the core of the film, the film “Navi no Koi”, which he appeared as a sub-protagonist, made Dantotsu popular in the history of Okinawan movie It should be big to bear the accuracy of the determined aim.
Appeared in the movie “Naby's Love, Hotel Hibiscus”. Its unique character attracts more attention. The official autobiography “OKINAWA OUTAU” published in the same year won the 23rd Okinawa Times Publication Culture Award.
In 2004, he co-performed with his disciple CHINA Sadao Kina at Osaka Dome (at the Ryukyu Festival).
Released “Drunken Tiger Freizi” for the first time in about 6 years as an original solo album in 2008.

He passed away on March 19, 2013.

Born in 1932, Mr. Noborikawa is the top traditional Okinawan singer who continue to grace us with his talents. he began his musical career by hand-make his own sanshin, a traditional Okinawan three- stringed instrument, and studied singing independent. After the Battle of Okinawa, he worked on a US military base where he learn American music from African-American troops, and was one of the founders of the biggest Okinawa music boom post-war. In 1998, he became the Honorary Chair for the Ryukyu Minyo Kyokai (an association for traditional Ryukyuan music). He appeared in the 1998 movie, Nabbie's Love, and also in Hotel Hibiscus, which are both set in Okinawa. his unique and charming character in the movies and in real life continues to garner fans of all ages.
