A three-person band formed in Tokyo in 1988 by “HIGA Eisho” (vo/g), SHIMABUKURO Masaru (g), UECHI Hitoshi. (key), who are classmates from Ishigaki Island. In 1989, they competed on the TV program “Ikasu Band Tengoku” and won the 12th Ikaten King seat. The following year, she made her major debut with “I Miss You.” The original songs were mainly blues-style pop music, but since the album “Begin's Island Song: Omoto Takeo” was released in 2000, it also attracted attention in original Shimauta (Okinawan music) pop music such as “Tears So So So,” “The Island Man's Treasure,” and “Orion Beer,” and now they have received high popularity and praise as one of the bands representing the Okinawan music world. Since 2001, the “Songs Day Concert” has been held every year in Okinawa.
