Can a message from a “place” where Okinawan people talk about Okinawan content play a role in improving the situation surrounding Okinawan literature?

The “Butoya & Lewis Okinawa Literature Fund,” established by the Mirai Fund Okinawa Foundation, is a fund aimed at introducing Okinawan literature to the world. Even now, in preparation for the start of grants in the future, dialogues are continuing with various people about who and what kind of grants will be provided to achieve their goals. In the previous round table discussion, even in a negative environment where literary content was not being read,
・The importance of the fact that the “place” of conversation between Okinawan people has healed those “wounds”
・In order for literature to become popular again, it is important to create a “place” through content by readers, writers, and connectors of literature, and to reconnect with content
That has been confirmed.
At this round table, we will consider the direction of the “Butoya & Lewis Okinawa Literature Fund” grant program at the same time as a “place” to talk about Okinawa and a “place” to enjoy Okinawan content.
