Since the existence of the back picture was confirmed in 2024/3, condition surveys, fluorescence X-ray analysis, high-definition photography, etc. were carried out by experts. Okinawa Prefecture is planning repairs for preservation and disclosure based on this information in the future. In this exhibition, replicas using data from high-definition photographs specialized in cultural properties carried out with the cooperation of the Tokyo Research Institute for Cultural Properties will be shown, and one of the afterpictures divided in three will be shown for a Limited-time-only. Also, I will introduce the genealogy of Ryukyu painters who drew afterpictures while using painting materials etc. held by the Okinawa Prefectural Museum and Art Museum.
