Summer becomes summer for the first time in Natsui Basho clothes (from Bashofu Monogatari)
Spring breeze. From now on, Okinawa will be the season of southerly winds blowing hard. The rain has fallen, the earth is moisturized, and crops are beginning to sprout. February. I heard that Professor Taira Mieko of Bashofu had cleared the top of the mountain to prevent the tsunami and built a Basho field from scratch, so I visited Kijoka. Basho, which sprout on the ground above the mountain, was full of vitality, and made me forget about various problems, such as a decrease in the number of Bashofu produced, and I felt that the “future” was there. In “Bashofu Monogatari,” Soetsu Yanagi describes Basho's string, which shines when exposed to sunlight, as if it were a silver thread. That thread is clean, pure, beautiful, and that's why it's strong. A shining silver thread that has overcome many difficulties after the war and has been protected and made by the beautiful yet strong intentions of nameless women. The brilliance of that thread may be due to the beauty of the women themselves who have been involved with Basho. The brightly colored nibashio bashofu is a very rare type of sardine bashofu that uses only ultra-fine nahagu. Currently, the number of produced bashofu has been collected over a long period of time.
