The Okinawa Dementia Monitoring Consortium (Mirai Fund Okinawa, Okinawa Prefecture Regional Development Association) has utilized dormant deposits for the past 3 years and worked on a “community development project where people with dementia can ensure safe and secure outings” together with the 5 implementing organizations receiving grants. As a result, while everyone wishes to “live their own way,” it has come to be understood that there are many barriers (barriers) when looking back at society starting from the person with dementia themselves.
At this symposium, we will look back on the results and issues of the executive groups in this project, discuss the role of the dementia patient mimamori system “mimamoride” as a new option for people with dementia and the “place of residence” for people with dementia, and make proposals on the future state of a symbiotic society.
