“You're not alone in your collection of works by Yuri Norstein”
A total of 8 films, including 2 that premiered in Japanese theaters! A collection of excellent short films

A collection of works by Yuri Norstein, who is known as a world-renowned animation artist for his masterpieces “The Tale of Stories” and “The Hedgehog Shrouded in Fog.” The softly enveloping fog, falling rain, and the heat of potatoes eaten by werewolves gently speak to the hearts of viewers with realistic expressions and poetic effects. “Goodnight Kids” and “Russian Sugar Commercials,” which will be shown for the first time in theaters this time, will also be screened. “Goodnight Kids” was produced as the opening for a Russian children's program, and Norstein's pet dog appeared as a model. “Russian Sugar Commercial” is a four-part film in which the lion, the symbol of the sugar company, plays an active role. Indeed, it is a precious collection of works that can be said to be a gift from Norstein.

What did Norstein say one year after the invasion of Ukraine──
A documentary exploring the possibilities of literature and art in an age of turmoil.

Yuri Norstein is a world-renowned animation artist known for “The Tale of Stories” and “The Hedgehog Wrapped in the Mist.” One year after Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022 began, an interview with Norstein, who lives in Moscow, was realized. It was an interview that spanned 3 times, and spanned a total of 8 hours. In response to our questions, Norstein richly deciphers this world while referring to numerous works of art and literature. What can be seen from a single Van Gogh painting, what is human dignity taught by Russian literature such as Pushkin, Chekhov, and Gogol, and the light concepts that Issa, Basho, and Hokusai have... What exactly can we learn from the art and literature left behind by our ancestors? A documentary for anyone looking for clues in this turbulent world. It was a spectacular 90 minutes that surprised me by Norstein's overwhelming energy and knowledge.
