Misago Chizuru (Misago Chizuru)
Born in 1958 in Yamaguchi Prefecture. Grew up in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture. Graduated from Kyoto Pharmaceutical University and Kobe University Faculty of Economics (Course 2),
Completed the master's program at the University of the Ryukyus Graduate School of Health Sciences. ' PhD (epidemiology), University of London, 1999.
He is involved in epidemiological research and international cooperation activities as a researcher at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a JICA epidemiology expert.
After living in Brazil for about 10 years, I returned to Japan. Worked in the Department of Epidemiology at the National Institute of Public Health (currently the National Institute of Health) since 2001.
Professor at Tsuda College of Liberal Arts since '04. ' She retired in March '24 and headed the Women's Folk Culture Research Institute in Yaeyama.
Regular gymnastics instructor. Special researcher at the National Institute of Exercise Science. He has written many books, such as “Women Who Become Onibaba” (Kobunsha Shinsho),
Co-authored “Female Student Goes to Meet Watanabe Kyoji” (Aki Shobō, later Bunshun Bunko), and “Pedagogy of the Oppressed” (Aki Shobō) as translations.
