The Southern Feel POPS Orchestra is a pop orchestra composed of a total of 36 people, including a string section, chorus section, brass section, percussion, harp, and band section, based on the sound concept of the backband (pop orchestra) of music programs from the 80s (The Best Ten, Night Hit Studios, etc.). They were formed in 2019, and their first concert was held in January 2022. The second and subsequent concerts are titled “Southern Feel POPS Orchestra Song Festival,” and once a year they welcome guest vocals and perform pop songs, movie soundtracks, TV theme songs, anime songs, enka, Western and Japanese pop music, etc. The performance repertoire spans over 50 songs.
