A new international film festival focusing on the Pacific Rim region. It aims to deepen mutual understanding among cultures, ethnic groups, and individuals of each country through the discovery and dissemination of excellent films, and for Okinawa to become a new place for international cultural exchange in the Pacific Rim region in the future.

During the period, in addition to selecting and screening excellent films in a competition format for films produced in countries and islands around the Pacific Rim, red carpets (first day) and talk events will also be held.

Director Takane Tsuyoshi from Ishigaki Island, who is the winner of the “1st Mavui Special Award,” and members of the cast and staff have a dreamily, pleasant and suspicious talk while remembering the time of filming. Christopher Makoto Yogi from Honolulu is currently one of the hottest indie film directors in the world. Kamiya Joseph Yoshimasu was born in Los Angeles and co-produced, composed, and edited the film “Rejection of Our Ancestors.” Two people who are 4th generation prefectures who both have Okinawan roots think about the meaning of making a film as the world's Uchinanchu.

The famous Iranian master Amir Naderi, who is the head of the jury for this film festival, takes Majid Nirmand, who played the leading role in the 1985 Nantes Three Continents Film Festival Grand Prix winning film “Running Boy,” and narrates the secret story of the shooting. Yuntaku party by Taiwanese Huang Yin-ik, who works as the executive director of the film festival. As a film director and producer, he talks offline (real venue) and online (meaning “chatting” in the Okinawan dialect) about the highlights of the actual film festival and the vision of the film festival while listening to what kind of feelings he Yuntaku about holding a film festival in Okinawa, what “Pacific Rim” is, etc.
