Starting with the festival song “Omoro,” which is equivalent to the “sacred song” of “Okura” in Noh, classical dance (“youth dance,” “second year dance,” and “female dance”) and “group dance” created during the Ryukyu Kingdom period, “miscellaneous dance” and “Okinawan play,” which were born from playhouses after the collapse of the kingdom, and “creative dance,” where female dancers took center stage and refined their artistry after the war, will be performed in order, and the history of “Ryukyu performing arts” spanning about 600 years will be viewed.
