●Sanshin and Engineering 4 (Kun Kun Si-)
We will introduce the museum's collection of Sanshin (Three-string guitar) and kokyu, and the four crafts handed down by the Sho family.
Sanshin (Three-string guitar) is said to have been introduced from China around the 14th to 15th century. In Ryukyu, it was warrior boys who were in charge of singing and dancing music performed in places that entertained honored guests from overseas, so learning sanshin was encouraged as an education for warriors. Since modern times, it has taken root widely among the common people and has integrated into people's lives. Koko 4 is a score of Ryukyu classical music, and it is said that it was first made by Yakabi Asayori (1716-1775) by referring to Chinese scores. This fourth of engineering is also called “Kintei (Kintei) Engineering 4,” and it was completed in 1858 (1858) by the master and apprentice of Nomura Ancho (Nomura Ancho), who is a concession of the Nomura school, and his high brother Matsumura Masanobu (Matsumura Shinshin), according to the will of Ryukyu King Shotai.
