70 years have already passed since post-war democratic education, which began with brand new textbooks, under the guidance of GHQ after the defeat in the war, and the appearance of “education” has changed with the times. Many documentary filmmakers have set a deep eye on “education.” While thinking about such works, I also think that documentary works themselves may inherently have the characteristic of “education.” In response to the unbelievable situation of Russia's invasion of Ukraine this time, Japan and the world's way of thinking about peace has begun to fluctuate. I think it is at times like this that it is necessary to think again about “education.”
