An artist-in-residence program to be implemented in the 2021 “Future of Regional Performing Arts to Nurture People Living Today — Formation of a Place and Human Resource Development Aimed at Shifting from 'Preservation' to 'Sustainability'” project.
In the music picture-story show “Kumoko-chan,” the character “Kumoko-chan,” named after the old Okinawan word “Kumoko-chan,” follows the path of Masukei (salt change) after the girls who rush their way back to Yomitan Village and Nagahama A story.
“Masukei Uta,” which has been sung in Nagahama, is a song on the road to get salt from Nagahama to the salt pans of Awase. Think about the beautiful and rich nature of Okinawa in the past, as seen from local traditional songs.
