Twenty years ago, in Durban, South Africa, a groundbreaking conference “World Conference Against Racism, Racism, Xenophobia and all related intolerance” to discuss racism and colonialism as a global challenge :Durban Conference) was held. The Durban Conference gave valuable results such as the perspective of “mixed discrimination” where racism is intertwined with other factors such as gender, and that discrimination in front of our eyes is inseparable from past history such as slavery and colonial rule. He was discussing the framework of the campaign to dismantle discrimination structures created by modern Japan from the Durban Conference, “Comfort Woman” by Professor Ramseyer at Harvard University, Okinawa, and the bullet, An inaccurate paper related to Koreans in Japan became news. In the kick-off event, we will visualize Japanese lacism using this Ramsey Year paper as well as to tell about the future of Durban+20 campaign.
