Born in Nase, Amami City in 1983. I was interested in music since high school and played guitar, but I was shocked by the shima song I heard by accident, I started singing shima songs when I was 19 years old. Studied under Hisako Ishihara of Uken village where Shima song is said to be the deepest in Amami. In 2005, he won the New Face Award at the Amami Folk Song Grand Prize. In 2006, he participated in Amami's compilant album “Magimun” with “Shunkane” and “New Year Kimono”.
