Profile
Born in Iwamizawa City, Hokkaido in 1967. In 1994, he went to Ishigaki Island and studied under Mr. Takesan Nishigaki of Yaeyama folk music. 2000, Yaeyama old folk music Competition Best Prize. 2003, Ishigaki City Tubarama Competition Effort Award. In 2004, he acquired the Yaeyama old folk music Preservation Association teacher license. In 2005, won the first Itoman Tubarama tournament semi championship. In 2006, he won the Narkney Tubarama Togania Yag tournament.
After gaining stage experience at a folk song bar in Ishigakijima, he returned to Iwamizawa and acquired Yaeyama old folk music Preservation Association Normal License in 2015.
Currently, he manages Karaoke Izakaya Hanahana (renewed and opened in May 2018 from Okinawa restaurant “Shima Kaisha”). Several times a year, he has a wide range of activities, including live performances all over the country.
