Profile
Born on February 3, 1984. Born in Hirara, Miyakojima City. Maiden name: Sunagawa. He started Sanshin at age 10, and met his mentor, Kuniyoshi Hironobu when he was 14. He went to the Okinawa main island when he was 20 years old and is active both inside and outside Okinawa Prefecture, mainly in Naha. The 1st album “Listen to Miyako” (10 Miyako folk songs) was released in 2006/9. They are also active as the Shimauta (Okinawan music) unit “URUKA” in a duo with Kazunari Gibo.
