Profile

Born in Shiraho, Ishigaki City on April 5, 1955. In Showa 47, he studied under his father Choichi Nakasone (Okinawa Prefecture designated Intangible Cultural Property/ songwriter and composer of “Urizun (Early summer) no Song”) and started practicing Shima Ota. He is a veteran with 40 years of experience, and has won numerous awards such as Yaeyama's national song Tubarama tournament championship. Solo recitals, Hawaii performances, parent-child recitals with the patriarchal and one teacher are also engaged in comforting activities for elderly facilities and making albums of folk songs. In 2006, he won the singing award at the New Song Festival “Shinta Grand Prize” in Okinawa, and the representative song is “Oyako Eagle Bird”. Currently, as a tourist taxi driver, he also regularly holds live performances on the mainland, while communicating the charm of Shimaua to tourists. Master of Yaeyama classical music Amuro school conservation kai and the Ryukyu Folk Song Association master.
