Profile
Born in Awase, Okinawa City and raised in Fukuoka. In 1979, he debuted in cosmetics CM song “My Heart is Stop Motion”. He won 22 awards, including the Japan Record Award Best Newcomer Award of the same year, and became a popular singer. Participated in Latin chorus group “Los Indios” since 1993. While resuming solo activities in 1997, he began to explore the fusion of Latin and Okinawan music and learn Sanshin. Currently, the duo live with Shoro Club leader Shigeharu Sasako “Geimi Journey”, a duo live with pianist Miyuki Onitake, “Tomoko and Onigokko”, etc.
