Profile
Born in Tokyo on January 4, 1958. After working as a performer and choreographer, he studied in London and New York for 2 years. After returning home in 1987, he debuted as a director at the original musical “I Gut Merman”. In 2004, he made the Pacific Overture on Broadway in New York as the first Oriental director. The film was nominated for four Tony Awards in 2005.
