Profile
Born on January 4, 1958 in Tokyo Metropolitan Prefecture. After working as a performer and choreographer, he studied abroad in London and New York for 2 years. After returning to Japan, he debuted as a director in the original musical “I Got Merman” in 1987. In 2004, he worked on “Pacific Overture” on Broadway in New York as the first Asian director, and in 2005 the same film was nominated in 4 categories.
