Profile
An Okinawan folk music and pop music unit formed in 2005 by TOYOOKA Massy, who is from Miyako Island and plays Sanshin (Three-string guitar) and erhu, and American-raised drum and island taiko player Mafune Jun. In 2007, utaihime Shisa Tamashiro from Tohohira-cho (now Yaese Town) in Okinawa Prefecture and bassist Suzy joined. Currently, they are mainly active as a duo of TOYOOKA Massy and Shisa Tamashiro. Starting with folk song taverns and live houses, they actively participate in various events such as peace festivals, Asian exchange, and ecology.
