Ryukyuan classical music song sanshen/ Kumidori region
Belongs to the Ryukyuan classical music Nomura School Preservation Association. Studied under Yasuharu Higa. I started Sanshin (Three-string guitar) in earnest at age 19. At Okinawa Prefectural University of Art, students learn about traditional Okinawan performing arts and related performing arts history. He later went on to the same graduate school. At the National Theatre Okinawa Kumidō training, they learned Ryukyuan classical music and jiyō practical techniques of Kumidō and Ryukyu dance from instructors, starting with Living National Treasures, and was certified as a heritor by the General Incorporated Association for the Preservation of Traditional Kumidō. Currently, in addition to planned performances hosted by the National Theatre Okinawa, they are working on stage performances, workshops, and group dance promotion activities inside and outside the prefecture. It won the 2019 Okinawa Times Traditional Performing Arts Selection Contest Sanshin Division Grand Prix. Registered performer for the Regional Creation Public Hall Japanese Music Revitalization Project (2022/2023).
