Born in Amami Oshima Island in 1979. I learned Amami shimauta (local music) to my grandfather from the age of 3 and won many prizes at Amami Shima song tournament and Kagoshima folk song competitions. He started music activities in Tokyo from the age of 18 and made his major debut in 2005 with the album “Koishi Koishiya”. In addition to appearing in numerous shows produced by Kansai Yamamoto, he has also appeared in many domestic and international events. He is also an official vocalist of Cirque de Soleil, a world-renowned French entertainment group. In 2013, he appeared in the musical “Les Miserables” in the role of fantaine, and also participated in the unit “Kurofune” which advocates the fusion of JAZZ and traditional performing arts.

Born in 1979 in Amami Oshima, Ms. Sato was taught the shima-uta of Amami by her grandfather beginning at the very young age of three. She won numerous awards and recognition in Amami's shima-uta contests and at bigger, prefectural competitions in Kagoshima. She performance at the Love the Earth Expo opening event for the Aichi Expo in March 2005, which was produced by fashion designer Kansai Yamamoto, where she garnered much accclaim. By 2009, she has released a total of five albums and a DVD. her performance in 2010 include the Shanghai Expo concert in May, and in June, at the Armstrong Theater in LA. In July 2011, she performance live at the 14th World Gymnaestrada in Lausanne, and in October she was a guest performance at the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Tokyo. She is also one of the official vocalists for Cirque du Soleil.
