Profile
Born in Yokohama. I was moved by Okinawan folk songs I heard at Okinawan folk music bars, and after studying Uta Sanshin (Three-string guitar) in Yokohama in 2011, I moved to Okinawa. It won the Grand Prize at the Futari Love Story Contest in 2017, and the Moonview Contest Excellence Award in 2018.
Currently based in Okinawa, in addition to performing Okinawan folk music, warabe songs, and Miyako folk songs, he is in charge of the FM Ginowande radio program “Ayumu Sakuraba's Uta Gura.”
