Profile
Starting with a self-taught song Sanshin (Three-string guitar)、First live in three years past six months。 After that, I felt the limit of self-taught in folk songs and decided to apprentice to a master from Taketomi Island. While learning Yaeyama old folk music, he gained stage experience at Shimauta (Okinawan music) Sakaya in Tokyo. In the live, Yaeyama old folk music as well as Okinawan folk music and pops are also performed. In addition to the three lines of the song, he also plays drums and flutes, and so on.
The 21st Ryukyu Folk Song Competition Highest Award (2009) and the 40th Yaeyama old folk music Competition Best Prize (2014). Even in the Sanshin (Three-string guitar) original song contest “S-1 Grand Prix ♪ 2016", I made my own song “Gajumaru” to the Grand Prix. We set up “Sanshin Classroom Ti Chi” in Tokyo and Gunma, and also strives to nurture the backward. In addition to recording cooperation on NHK educational television, media exposure such as appearing in private television programs.
Released 1st album CD “SHAMICHI” in 2015. In addition, Hiroe Sekine 3rd jazz-album CD “One World One Sun” (Produced by Grammy Award Artist Yellow Jackets Russell Ferrante work) will be released in March 2017.
