Profile
Born in 1984 Ishigaki Island. I learned Sanshin (Three-string guitar) from an early age, and after graduating from high school, I went on to Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts and studied in the Ryukyuan classical music Sanshin (Three-string guitar) Division. After graduating from university, as a professional Sanshin (Three-string guitar) player, he has performed both inside and outside the prefecture, including Ryukyuan classical music, folk song shows, and live Shimauta (Okinawan music) shows. He also appeared on Blue Note in New York in 2011. At the “New Song Awards” hosted by Radio Okinawa, he received the Composition Award for “East-West Discourse” in 2008, and the Encouragement Award for “Birthday Festival” the following year, 2009.
