Profile
Born in Miyako Island, Okinawa Prefecture. Joined Yamashita Yosuke Group in 1978. In 1980, Shota Koyama, Kazutoki Umetsu, and Shigeharu Mukai participated in the Donaueschingen Contemporary Music Festival in Germany. After that, he went through performance activities with folk instruments such as a rabbe, veena, biwa, and oud, and began pursuing unique sounds with silent guitars from 2007. This is called “six koto”. Various sessions with Hayashi Eiichi and Koyama Shota in the constellation of Aries, cellist Sei, etc. are being carried out without being bound by a framework.
