Profile

A hard rock band formed in Okinawa in 1970 with a focus on George Murasaki. He starred in “8 and 8 Rock Day” held in Osaka in 1975 and attracted the attention of inland music fans with an overwhelming performance. In 1976, he made a record debut on the 1st album “Murasaki” and gained nationwide popularity, George et al. In 1978, three central members of George and others left and disbanded in 1981. After that, members were temporarily reunited as “purple” several times while continuing their music activities such as partnering another band, but in 2007 George Purple (key), Miyanaga Eiichi = Chibi (dr), Hika Kiyomasa (g) and Yukio Shimoji GG (g) were young JJ (vo) and Chris (b), and reformed in earnest. In 2010, he released a new album “PURPLESSENCE” and actively performs live activities both inside and outside the prefecture.

The legend rock band, Murasaki, reunited in 2007, with its original members, George Murasaki (Keyboard), Chibi (Drums), and GG (Guitar), who made this band a legend, together with new members JJ (Vocals) and Chris (Bass). In 2010, the band released their new album, PURPLEESSENCE.
