Profile

China/Born in Shanghai I started violin from the age of 5. After graduating from Shanghai Academy of Music Elementary School, he majored in Erhu and Violin at Shanghai Drama School, and both graduated with the head of chief. After that, he came to Japan in 1991.
Through Erhu, he actively collaborates with musicians of different genres. In the process, he established his own playing style, such as devising the standing method of erhu to sit down and play. A pioneer of modern erhu, enabling collaboration with rock, jazz/fusion.
In May 2002, he made a major debut from Warner Music Japan (now Sony Music International) and released eight albums.
In addition to preside over the Erhu classroom himself (heart string erhu class), collaborations with domestic and international artists such as Ryuichi Sakamoto and Kenny G, and co-starring with orchestras including the NHK Symphony Orchestra Continuing the activity.
In 2007, NHK started from the beginning of the year “Darwin came! He first co-starred with Kenny G in a new ending-themed production of “The New Legend of Creatures” (also in OA as of January 2012). In 2009, he also produced the Erhu Summit in Tokyo, where world-leading erhu players gathered together.
In June 2010, Satoshi Takebe was a producer, guest player Yuji Toriyama (guitar, arrangement), Fujiwara Michiyama (Shakuhachi), Ryota Komatsu (band neon), and Ryoko Moriyama (Vo, Autoharp) participated in the guest player Released the album “Back to the...” He actively conducts concert activities, including the “World Collaboration Night” with Yuji Toriyama and Ryota Komatsu and the 20th anniversary concert in Japan.
I am also in charge of erhu theme song NHK-BS1 “Hot @アジア” which started from April 2011.

Ms. Wuu was born in Shanghai, China. She active corroborates with many musicians from various genres with erhu (Chinese violin). She has established her own playing style, include playing the erhu while standing, and has become a pioneer in modern erhu, exploring various music genres include rock, jaz, and fusion. This stylish erhu player has expanded her field of performance, and some of her work includes the theme song recorded with Kenny G. for a TV program, Darwin ga Kita, on NHK, and the main theme song for a TBS TV drum, Jin.
