He was from Kurima Island, Shimoji-cho, Miyako Island. When he was 23 years old, he studied under Genji Kuniyoshi. Currently, he was active as a master of Miyako Folk Song Preservation Association and Ryukyu National Folk Song Association while collecting star sand and captain of sightseeing ship.
Mr. Nakasone is from Kurima Jima, Shiomoji Choo in Miyako Island. At age 23, he began studying music under Mr. Genji Kuniyoshi. Currently, he active works as Shihan (an instructor) of a reservation organization of Miyako folk songs and the Ryukyu Koku Minyo Kyokai (association for Ryukyu folk songs), while working as a pleasure boat master and star-shaped sand collector.
