Profile
Born in 1963 in Kohama Island. The eighth generation of the Shochiku family, which is said to be a music house. I grew up surrounded by island music since I was born, and I received the guidance of island folk music “island drum, Yokobue, Sanshin (Three-string guitar)” in a very natural way from many masters. At the age of five, he was chosen to be a formal performer of the island's festival when he was 18 years old, and at the age of 18 he was dressed in taiko drums, and from elementary school to junior high school students. Currently active mainly in Tokyo Okinawan restaurants etc. The album “Mangrove Song” “Churashima's Song” released in 2006.
