The Okinawa exhibition is held by Peace Aichi every year, with a focus on Irei-no-hi (War memorial day) on 6/23.

The government has taken a policy to strengthen the Self-Defense Forces system in the Nansei Islands, keeping in mind China's maritime advance and the Taiwan emergency. While looking back on the history of Okinawa at the semi-permanent exhibition, I think about the current state of Okinawa.
Also, the 32nd Army headquarters bunker has been built in the basement of Shuri Castle, where the main hall, which has been reconstructed this fall, is being preserved and opened to the public as an important historical site in the Battle of Okinawa. In the special exhibition, we will deepen our understanding of Shuri Castle after modern times for future reconstruction of Shuri Castle as “Shuri Castle and the Battle of Okinawa.”

Other, as a related exhibition, “The Okinawa base problem is our problem,” and testimonial video screenings of people who experienced the Battle of Okinawa will be screened.
