A “Picture Book Artist Discovery Project Okinawa” workshop to discover and nurture the next generation of picture book writers in Okinawa Prefecture. It is an initiative aimed at the birth of new picture book writers from Okinawa, which has a rich artistic culture such as traditional crafts, etc., and will be carried out in a total of 2 workshops. It provides practical information for everyone from beginners to motivated people who are interested in picture book writers. Picture book researchers with editing experience at long-established picture book publishers serve as guides, and active picture book researchers active in the national district serve as facilitators, providing guidance that is close to each and every participant from a multifaceted perspective such as editing, children, art, and education.
