Many families gather at graves during the Qingming season, and there are monchū where over 100 people gather, and there are also monchū that enshrines ancestors who are far from Yambaru and remote islands. We will organize modern monchu that perform ancestral rituals by different methods for each of the warrior family, Yatori, and peasant lineage, and examine “what is Okinawan monchu” through their history and folklore.
