“Shōen,” the first king of the second Shō dynasty of the Ryukyu Kingdom, ascended the throne in 1470. To commemorate 555 years since his enthronement, this special exhibition introduces the history and culture before the Second Hisashi dynasty and during the Second Hisashi dynasty.
