Using Ryukyu limestone, a stone derived from Okinawan coral, Daichi Wakayama continues to carve the traditional amulet “stone lion.” In the 4th “Lion Road” exhibition, lions from around the world, including the Egyptian Sphinx, which are the roots of lion statues, the Okinawan Shisa, and even new countries, will appear as stone lions.
