Performers: Shimanaka Community Center (Yonaguni Town)
This event broadly introduces Yonaguni Island, the westernmost island in Japan. At the venue, “Yonaguni Island performing arts” by people from the Shimanaka Community Center will be shown. Shimanaka's performing arts are designated as important intangible folk cultural properties of the country, and they are originally performing arts dedicated to the gods at the island's Harvest Festival, and opportunities to appreciate them outside the island are limited. Performances are scheduled to be performed 3 times a day. In addition, there is an exhibition introducing Yonaguni Island, and a lottery for visitors to watch performances. It conveys the appeal of the island in a multifaceted manner.
