2025 will be 80 years after the war. Think again about a peaceful future from the land of Okinawa. Once upon a time, Okinawa experienced being placed under American rule after a disastrous ground war. What did these experiences bring to Okinawa? Think about peace through dialogue between young people who will lead the future and lecturers.

Ikegami Akira (Journalist/ Visiting Professor, Rikkyo University)
Born in 1950 in Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture. Moved to Tokyo at age 3. Joined NHK as a reporter in 1973. After working in Matsue and Kure, the Social Affairs Department of the Tokyo Press Office. “Dad” from “Weekly Children's News” from 1994 to 2005. It became independent in 2005. Visiting professor at Rikkyo University since 2016/4.
