The school evacuation ship Tsushima Maru, which was heading from Okinawa to Kyushu on 1944/8/22, was sunk by a US military submarine. The Tsushima Maru Incident is the biggest school death incident during the war, where 784 children lost their lives overnight. This incident was kept secret for a long time, but Nakajima Takao, the survivor of the incident, rescued 7 people while drifting after the ship sank, and miraculously survived. However, after surviving, he continued to suffer amid information control over incidents that were too strict. The actor who is his grandson, and Satoshi Jodai, who is the director of this film, embark on a journey to find out the truth of the incident in the wake of his grandfather's death. Judai's journey, which pursues the unreasonableness of the war and the truth buried in people's memories, eventually extends to Ukraine, which is a battleground.
