The “total lunar eclipse,” where the Moon is completely hidden in the Earth's shadow, is a mysterious celestial show. Christopher Willits (Christopher Willits), known worldwide for his ambient works that combine music and video, was invited to create this special night. Melissa Araki, Paulo Vargas, and Just You & The Moon, who are artists living in Ishigaki Island who know everything about the night in Yaeyama, also performed. Performances by domestic and international artists comfortably invite you to a fantastic world illuminated by moonlight. After the late-night event ends, “everyone knows,” where the moon completely enters the Earth's shadow, will continue from 2:30 a.m. to 3:53 a.m. on 9/8 (Monday). Fusaki Beach will be open until morning for the climax of the celestial show “Total Lunar Eclipse,” which is rare even in Japan.
