July 16 is “Guinea Pig Appreciation Day.” It was established by a Canadian animal protection organization for the purpose of spreading proper breeding methods and ways to treat guinea pigs. Along with this day, Okinawa Zoo & Museum will hold workshops and special guides where you can enjoy learning about the appeal of guinea pigs, and will also sell original guinea pig goods.

・Animal Plaza Special Workshop “10 Mole 10 Colors” (11:00 to 12:00, participation fee 1000 yen, reservation required, capacity 12 people)
・Guinea pig cheki meeting (13:45 to 14:45, participation fee 500 yen)
・Special guinea pig guide (from 15:30; participation fee is free)
・Guinea pig feeding experience (15:00 to 16:00, participation fee 300 yen)
