At the Ocean Cultural Center in Ocean Expo Park, there are exhibitions relating to marine culture in Asia, Oceania, and the Pacific region, including Okinawa. In the business trip and marine culture course, we will introduce materials from the Maritime Cultural Center and talk about the culture practiced in each region. The theme this time is about “Adan.” I will explain the techniques and culture of using the useful plant Adan (pandanus) common to Okinawa and the Pacific Ocean.
