In the history of the spread of karate in modern times, there were two revolutionary events: introduction to school education in Okinawa and the beginning of full-scale instruction outside of the prefecture, but the former was one of the triggers of a student's martial arts demonstration (1904). This special exhibition introduces the latest modern karate history, starting from this student “Matsuda Morinaga”'s martial arts demonstration.
Also, as a special event, a kitchen jar and nameplate by Miyagi Chojun, the founder of the Goju-ryu school, will be exhibited in the permanent exhibition room.
